As promised, Baybuzz is about to take a leap forward.

Our new bi-monthly BayBuzz magazine will launch later this week. Here is a sneak preview online.

You might have seen the DomPost report last week on earthquake vulnerable buildings in Hastings. Quite a lead-in to BayBuzz magazine’s lead article by Kathy Webb … Surviving the Big One.

Anyone who has made a donation since 1 July 2010 will receive a copy in the mail. Others can find copies at Hastings, Havelock North and Greenmeadows New Worlds, Napier PakNSave, and various shops around the Bay … while they last! If you have trouble finding a copy, let us know at editors@baybuzz.co.nz.

Better still, SUBSCRIBE and BayBuzz will be delivered to your home or business! I’ll come back to that in a moment.

Our website is being re-vamped to complement the expansion of our blog and the new magazine. The site will ‘go dark’ this evening through Tuesday as all the new features and elements are added and the ‘transfusion’ occurs. We’ll be back on Wednesday.

When the site goes live again on Wednesday, you’ll be able to subscribe on the website, or find details about how subscribe via cheque or e-transfer.

There’s quite a team now involved in creating and delivering the BayBuzz magazine and website for you. We’re all looking forward to your feedback.

  1. Looks fantastic. Well done to the designers for starters. Things have been tough in the Bay these last couple of years in all sorts of ways. We could do with something fresh, a new energy, some new positive ideas. Your new look BayBuzz is certainly a step in the right direction.

  2. Good luck with your new publication , Tom…you deserve all support for trying to provide the public with a quality production to keep them informed and ( hopefully ) entertained ..
