An evening with Fleur Sullivan from ‘Fleurs Place’ at Moeraki
Join us at Malo Restaurant, Havelock North on March 31st at 6pm.
We are delighted to have Fleur Sullivan here in Hawke’s Bay to join us for this memorable evening at Malo. The team at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Hawke’s Bay welcome you to attend this event which will be an evening of great food, great wine and great times.
Tickets are $140 per person. They include canapes and a glass of bubbles on arrival. Followed by a delicious 3-course meal prepared by Malo’s Head Chef Bert Van De Steeg and Fleur Sullivan matched to Craggy Range wine.

Meet Fleur |
Fleur has been creating incredible food for years. She owned and managed Oliver’s restaurant and lodge in Central Otago for 20 years before deciding it was time to retire. She chose the small seaside town of Moeraki. Soon, the temptation to create and share her food again became too great and she opened up Fleurs Place.
For many years Fleurs Place has been a ‘must do’ destination for foodies travelling through the North Otago coastal village of Moeraki. Fleur was an exponent of slow food, which is honest and fresh – long before it became fashionable. She is a natural forager utilising ingredients many of us would never consider.
Meet Bert |
Malo offers a fresh approach to Hawke’s Bay food and wine. Honest food with a sophisticated, modern twist and an emphasis on local, seasonal flavours. Head Chef Bert van de Steeg began his culinary journey in his homeland of the Netherlands completing training and gaining experience in a range of fine dining and Michelin star restaurants. Bert has called New Zealand home for fifteen years and joined the Malo team in 2018, he describes his methods as classic yet modern with a focus on rustic flavours using honest quality ingredients.
