East Pier Summer Series

The East Pier Triathlon & Duathlon series is what it is all about this summer.
There are five events this summer and at each event there are six different races with different distance and options that should suit everyone from the absolute beginner to the seasoned athlete.

Our events cater for participants from the age of 7 to 99 and walkers are welcome and encouraged to enter.
The full Triathlon events are recommended for anyone aged 13 years and over, but we have other events such as an Aquathlon to suit all ages. You can do the event as an individual or if that seems a bit much, get a friend and do it as a team. You could even get two friends and really have a fun and relaxed day out there.
Triathlon
Short and long distances available, we invite individuals and teams to participate. We also have standard distance on 3 of series event dates.

Duathlon
The Duathlon consists of a 5km run, 21km bike, 2km run and starts at 8am.

AquaBike
The Aquabike event will be over the sprint distance course but without the run.

Aquathlon- for the juniors and adults
Adults will start the event with the main triathlon event at 8 am.
Kids Aquathlon
For the 7 -9 year olds there is a 100m swim followed by a 1km run and the 10-12 year olds have a 200m swim followed by a 2km run.
Entry for this event will be $10 and registrations are online only.
Start will be approx. 8.15 am as we don’t want the kids caught up with the triathlon swimmers.
The swim will be shallow enough that swimmers can stand up in the water. Parents/helpers can walk in the water or on the shoreline if they wish.

Tri HB Members $25
Non Members $40 (plus $5 one day Tri NZ license fee if applicable)
Teams – $40 per team 2 or 3 Person (plus $5 one day Tri NZ license fee if applicable)
