Labour Weekend – Train Rides

Over Labour weekend, we host our biannual open weekend, welcoming visiting locomotives, and people to our track for four days of train rides.
Bring your family and friends along for a weekend of train rides that take you over five bridges, through three tunnels, along a scenic gully, and past small rock faces. You can also enjoy playing at the playground, taking walks around Keirunga Gardens, and having a picnic while admiring the passing trains.
Labour Weekend Public Train Rides:
• Friday 20 October to Monday 23 October 2023
• 11am to 4pm each day
• weather permitting
Train Rides:
• $2 a ride or
• $20 for a 12-ride ticket
• Children under 2 and teddy bears travel for free
• We accept EFTPOS, debit cards, and cash.
We do ask that you kindly pay attention to the train ride safety rules, which can be found on the back of our 12-ride ticket, on the station wall, and on our website, www.keirungaparkrailway.org.nz.
