Memories, Reflections & Nostalgia

We are excited to report that we are now finally back on track, now rehearsing together on a regular basis under the joint directorship of Elizabeth Curtis, Heather Sanders and Alana Frankum.
We can confirm that we have an exciting concert lined up for Sunday, 26 June at St Matthews Church, Hastings. We cordially invite and implore you to mark this date in your diaries and calendars. *The concert starts at 2.00pm*
The concert is based around the theme: “Memories, Reflections and Nostalgia”. We will be singing a rich variety of songs that we hope will give the audience the opportunity to contemplate on the impact music has had on our lives over the years. We will be presenting repertoire that may have been introduced to us by our parents and families, special music teachers and musical colleagues. We will be performing songs we have sung over the years in Linden Singers; special songs that have become favourites of the choir for various reasons.
We also have a recently commissioned new work by Elizabeth Curtis and a special work that celebrates Matariki composed, and now re-arranged, for the Linden Singers, by NZ composer David Hamilton.
Come along to our concert, reflect, experience nostalgia and create new Matariki memories with us. We really hope to see you there.
