Ōmakere Coastal Hill Country Walk

A simply stunning way to take in the breathtaking landscape of Central Hawke’s Bay.
The Ōmakere School & Community Association brings you the Coastal Hill Country Walk fundraiser through stunning private farmland in the heart of Ōmakere district.
The walk is a fantastic way to experience the impressive landscapes of Central Hawke’s Bay, with views from the ocean to the ranges. The walk will start at Blackhead Beach and is a 17 km loop across rolling and steep coastal farmland, with amazing front-row views of the ocean and a 360-degree vista.
Sign-in is from 7.30 am. You will need a good level of fitness, good walking or trail shoes, walking poles (if you have them) and warm clothing. There will be a homemade lunch, tea and coffee included by Ōmakere School, as well as a small number of stalls on offer.
