Finn Andrews signed his first record deal at 16, and has gone on to forge an incredible international career in music.
His band, The Veils, has recorded 5 albums, and has a massive following in the UK and Europe. He and the band were invited to appear in David Lynch’s Twin Peaks, and their songs have appeared on many notable soundtracks. Finn was recently commissioned to write a 20 minute orchestral piece by the Belgian Government to commemorate the Antipodean war casualties in Belgium in World War One.
As a songwriter for a band, Finn set aside several works, feeling that they were too intimate, too personal. In 2016 he began to focus on these, and write new songs for his solo project, which was finally released, to wide acclaim in 2019 as the album One Piece at a Time.
Finn toured New Zealand with that album, performing with a full band, and strings, at the Haumoana Hall.
This Small Hall Sessions tour will see Finn play as a solo artist, simply guitars, piano and voice .. both his solo songs and songs from The Veils significant catalogue.
Be prepared for an evening of incredible artistry, elegance, intimacy and beauty.
