From the March Baybuzz Digest, here are two celebrations and one lament from our regular columnists … Anna Lorck, Des Ratima and Tim Gilbertson.

In Coming 2nd, Anna Lorck celebrates sport and its lessons, including the value of competition.

In Nga Marae, Des Ratima celebrates the core significance of the Marae, and explains a movement in Hawke’s Bay to organize and tap into this source of Maori energy for political influence and social service delivery.

Tim Gilbertson doesn’t celebrate much (at least in BayBuzz). This month, in I Paid Up, he laments bureaucratic narrow-mindedness and inflexibility.
