Voter Guide Profile: Marcus is running for Mayor to focus council on ensuring that our residents can afford to live here and enjoy their lives. He will support all ratepayers by focusing on core council business, financial discipline and efficient services.

He has a clear plan to make housing more affordable while ensuring we never have to build on our fertile soils. Marcus will push to reform traffic management standards so infrastructure is delivered more effectively.

A vote for Marcus is a vote for someone who has the record to back up their words, the experience to deliver results and the energy to make it happen.

Marcus is a Poukawa farmer, Hastings Councillor, Qualified RMA Commissioner, Chairman of District Development, and Chair of the Hawke’s Bay Rural Advisory Group. He has degrees in economics, politics & health science. Marcus is engaged to a local teacher, and they live together on the family farm.
