Voter Guide Profile: I live in Nelson Crescent, Napier South, and have sons at Napier Intermediate and Nelson Park School. I am grateful to have served as councillor this term. Previously, I worked as a secondary teacher for two years at Colenso High, Napier, followed by 12 years teaching in the UK. Before getting on council, I successfully campaigned in 2017 for a new playground at the Kennedy Park Rose Gardens, and in 2022 for a pedestrian crossing island on Latham Street. This term I’ve helped deliver a safer road crossing in the park for children at Nelson Park School.

My values are transparency, inclusiveness and keeping things simple. I am a consistent voice on issues of health, road safety and environment. At council we need to carefully allocate ratepayer money to infrastructure and services that most benefit the community.
