Indulge in all things geeky when Nerdvana 2026 returns to Hastings from Thursday 30 April to Sunday 3 May 2026.
Over four days, Hastings War Memorial Library will become a welcoming space for pop culture, creativity and connection.
Nerdvana is a free, multi‑day event filled with activities inspired by sci‑fi, fantasy, gaming and fandoms. It celebrates the joy of being unapologetically nerdy and is designed to bring people together. There is something on offer for long‑time fans as well as those keen to give it a go for the first time.
“Nerdvana is about creating a space where nerds of all ages can have fun, feel welcome, and connect over the things we love,” said Hastings councillor Nick Ratcliffe.
“Whether you’re deep into Warhammer, obsessed with D&D, or just keen to try something new, Nerdvana is a chance to enjoy the library in a different way and feel at home.”
Across the four days, visitors can enjoy tabletop gaming, interactive events, creative workshops, retro gaming, props and photo opportunities, with quiet spaces to rest between sessions. Some activities are drop‑in, while others require registration due to limited spaces.

“Nerdvana has become something people really look forward to,” said Kristen Clothier, the libraries’ learning and discovery lead. “It’s welcoming, it’s a bit quirky, and it’s very much about community. We love seeing people come in, find their people and lean into their inner nerd.”
The full Nerdvana 2026 programme is available here.
Early registration is recommended for sessions with limited capacity.
