Standing For: Hastings District Council
Hastings-Havelock North Ward
Voter Guide Profile: I have a plan to build community wealth by putting local workers and businesses first. I’ll advocate for fair wages and ethical, transparent spending to keep money in the Hastings economy. I’ll advocate for Citizens’ Assemblies and a smaller Council to strengthen local democracy and ensure your voices are heard. I’m committed to working for you full-time because ratepayers deserve real value.
With a background in Sustainable Land Management and International Agriculture, I’m well-equipped to bridge the rural-urban divide. I will protect the precious water reserves and fertile soils that adjoin our city – a city where people want to live, work and go out.
I’ve lived in Heretaunga Hastings for nine years, working in native forest restoration, residential construction, and most recently charity work delivering essentials to whānau. I love this town – it’s my home and my tamariki’s future. I want to serve and strengthen it for future generations.
