Pagen is deeply connected to the Mohaka Ward, especially Putorino/Tutira districts, through her work on local and school committees, community initiatives, and Deputy Controller, Putorino Rural Fire. 

Pagen is passionate about ensuring rural communities are heard and supported. From safer roads to reliable Services, the Mohaka Ward deserves practical, responsive leadership—grounded in experience, accountability, and strong rural  
values.

It is important the rebuild investments are targeted and supported by local ratepayers. Council must continue to reduce the risk of isolated communities in weather events.
