Voter Guide Profile: I’ve lived in the Taradale area for over 50 years. It’s a fantastic place to call home — a strong, connected community with real character. But like many locals, I’m concerned that it’s becoming increasingly unaffordable. Rates keep rising, and everyday people are being squeezed.

As a semi-retired businessman with a lifetime of practical experience, I now have the time and energy to give back to the community. I’m standing for council because I believe it’s time for a clear rates cap and a return to sensible, disciplined spending.

We need a back-to-basics approach — prioritising core services, eliminating waste, and saying no to unnecessary vanity projects. I’ll bring a grounded, common-sense voice to the council table and work hard to represent the interests of Taradale esidents.

I’m ready to serve — and I’ll always put people before politics.
