Voter Guide Profile: My commitment is to be a Mayor for all of Hastings.
Flaxmere-born and Havelock North-raised, I’ve spent the last eight years serving as your Councillor. I’ve led council committees on housing, infrastructure, cyclone recovery and economic development: finding savings, reducing delays, and delivering real progress.
As Mayor, I’ll bring fresh thinking to what matters: restraining rates, delivering affordable homes, supporting local jobs, fixing roads, and protecting our fertile soils.
The council I lead will focus on outcomes, not extras. We’ll listen first and communicate openly.
My approach is grounded in the work I’ve done alongside our community, advocating for seniors through the Positive Ageing Trust, mentoring youth, supporting disability communities, and working with business and multicultural groups to strengthen our district.
I’m a business owner with over 20 years’ experience, a parent, and a leader who brings people together to get results. I’m here to serve Hastings.
