Two new cases in Hawke’s Bay (no contact tracing required). And our one hospital admission currently in HB is now in ICU, according to director of public health, Caroline McElnay. The good news is, investigation has clearly linked the case of the Flaxmere supermarket worker who tested positive yesterday to domestic travel, and the DHB says it can be “quite confident” in ruling out a local source. Good news, too, NZ’s case numbers are definitely falling (29 new cases today); the bad news, two further deaths in New Zealand, bringing our total to four.
