No new cases for Hawke’s Bay, but one new case for the Ruby Princess cluster. While the Ministry of Health website now lists 19 as part of this “Hawke’s Bay cluster”, yesterday Ashley Bloomfield clarified that Sunday’s two Ruby Princess cases are in fact in Wellington, a tour guide and partner; presumably this new case is too.
Dr Nick Jones, HB medical officer of health, is asking frontline healthcare workers across the region to step up testing so we can get a true picture of the spread of disease in Hawke’s Bay. He’s urging anyone feeling unwell to take their symptoms, even if mild, seriously and contact Healthline (0800 358 5453) or their GP to be referred for testing.
