The Ahuriri Business Association, in partnership with the Rotary Club of Ahuriri Sunrise, is hosting the only dedicated candidate debate for the Ahuriri Ward in this year’s local election.

With nine candidates standing for just three seats, this event represents a unique opportunity for the public to hear from all ward candidates in one place. The debate will be moderated by retiring Deputy Mayor Annette Brosnan and will include short introductions and community-driven questions.

Members of the public are invited to submit questions by 9am, Monday 16 September to [email protected]. These will be shared with the moderator, who will select from them during the event.

The event is free, open to the public, and will be live-streamed via the ABA’s Facebook page. We are encouraging attendees to bring along friends, family, and neighbours to ensure strong voter engagement.
