Unison at work

Probably not, but it is now underway … watch for your voting papers. The Trust does nothing consequential, but its five Board members do get a heap publicity when they pass along your Unison dividend each year.

You’ll have until Tuesday 1 October at 5pm to return your vote by mail, online or in person.

Four of the incumbents are seeking re-election: Barbara Arnott, Jeffrey Farnworth, David Pearson and Kirsten Westwood (here are their Trust bios).

If past is prelude, the incumbents will coast in, riding their excellence at dividend administration.

That leaves three other candidates whose best chance is winning the seat vacated by departing Diana Kirton:

It might be an insignificant post, but it is an election, and we are a democracy (at least for those of us plugged into the Unison network), so do your duty and vote.

  1. Done – but I am looking for new “blood” with differing viewpoints – every local body needs change from time to time

  2. The Public trough must pay extremely well?! certain people is society specialize in putting their snout in every trough available, we here will go for new Oxygen from now on.

  3. So, going by your “subtle” comments Tom, regarding the 3 new candidates for a HBPCT seat, you would have us vote in Craig Waterhouse, along with the 4 incumbents seeking re-election I 80% agree with you, but disagree with your “incestuous” slur re Aydan Chatterton!
