For the twenty-third year, Hawke’s Bay businesses get their moment in the spotlight at the annual Pan Pac Hawke’s Bay Business Awards.

The 2020 awards will herald some changes due to the challenges many businesses have faced this year, including recognising achievements outside of purely economic performance such as excellence, hard work, innovation, resilience, leadership and sustainability. And in another first, entry into the awards can be made online.

In acknowledging the challenging business environment, the award categories have also been updated, with the highest accolade — Business of the Year — being chosen from the winners of Excellence in Innovation, People’s Choice, Community Contribution, Excellence in Sustainability and Employer/Leader of the Year.

Last year’s supreme winner was Isaac’s Plumbing, Pumping and Electrical, who also won the Large Business category.

Nominations and entries are now open and more information can be found on www.hbbusinessawards.nz, with entries closing on Friday 2 October.

The awards are delivered by the Hawke’s Bay Chamber of Commerce, with judging culminating in a formal dinner celebration on Friday 13 November at Linden Estate winery where the winners will be announced.
