Mate, the Mayor of Napier City Council is an absolute joke. She’s splashing cash left, right and centre on a flash new library, council offices, and tarting up Emerson Street – all to feed her ego, like it’s makeup for her public image. Word is she’s telling the CEO to boot out as many staff as needed, just to free up more money for her pet projects. The CEO’s just trying to save her own skin, and the directors are chucking names of people they don’t like under the bus – never mind how qualified they are.
Hi Georgina – the most honest comment I’ve seen on BayBuzz. NCC is an utter shambles and has been for years. They kick out anyone who isn’t a Yes may I kiss your boots person. And now $100k of ratepayers money for the homeless? Seriously, the Mayor and CE couldn’t give two fs about them or the ratepayers $ they are spending. The Mayor is just buying votes with our money. Make sure to vote in October, I wish she’d take the hint like Sandra and resign now but not long to go now.
