The Hawke’s Bay Amputee Society looks out for people with limb differences throughout Hawke’s Bay and the East Coast, and of all ages. Right now, the group is focussed on putting together a Hawke’s Bay contingent for the 2021 Halberg Games.

Due to take place at Auckland’s Kings College from April 23 to 25, the Halberg Games is an action-packed three-day, national sports competition open to 8-21 year olds with a physical or visual impairment.

The Games are a way for young people to have some fun, stretch their expectations and represent their region, and registrations are still open – just!

Anyone keen to join the Hawke’s Bay team, or learn more, is encouraged to get in touch with Hawke’s Bay Halberg Adviser, Celia O’Driscoll for more information (celia@halberg.co.nz).

Registrations close on Monday, March 1, and no payment is required until early April. Funding options are available for Hawke’s Bay athletes too. Registrations can be made online here.
