The interview with Mayor Wise interested me greatly. Based on the need for approximately $900 million to bring our potable water, our storm water and our waste water up to standard, but with only $404 million allocated in the current 10 year Long Term Plan, how can she be happy with only getting $12 million from the Infrastructure Growth Fund. I can see clearly why the council missed out so badly when we had Cr Mawson stating that so wrongly that the 3 Waters contribution from Government would be $89 million, and Mayor Wise admitting that her publicised figure of Government contribution would be $130 million when in fact the contribution was to be $469 million. With such a public display of a total lack of credibility it is no wonder that Napier City Council received only $12 million.
