The Team at Napier Libraries have just added video to their website, providing handy tips on using the range of digital services. Options for online content include downloadable movies and courses (Kanopy), E-Audio and E-Books, as well as a range of research databases.

And in other good news, all books and other items have been auto-renewed to after 13 June. There will be no fines during this period.

Returns Bins have been closed including Taradale & Napier Libraries, Pak n Save Napier and Pak n Save Tamatea and Four Square, Taradale.

You can still contact the library during office hours on 06 834 4180 or by email.

Hastings District Libraries are keeping busy with lots of action on their Facebook page, and have launched a new digital membership for people who are not already library members. Plus there’s all the access to the online services on their website.

And loans have been extended at Hastings libraries too.

Check in with the National Aquarium

Using social media to take education from the aquarium out to the community is keeping the National Aquarium of New Zealand team busy while working from home during the Level 4 COVID-19 lockdown.

“The team are relishing the challenge of finding new and creative ways to keep everyone updated and engaged during these unprecedented times,” says Rachel Haydon, National Aquarium General Manager.

“We’ll have videos of our animal keepers hard at work caring for our residents, weekly quizzes, lessons with our educators and links to awesome documentaries with activity ideas you can do at home. There is a lot we are working on to help us all stay connected!”

The National Aquarium is sharing activities daily on social at 9.00am
