Linden Singers ‘Tis the Season of Love’

The Linden Singers are pleased to advise you of their upcoming concert.
We have a beautiful programme of gorgeous music to present to all who love music. As we begin to turn our thoughts towards the Christmas Season, let us put you in the mood.
‘Tis the Season of Love’ is the theme of the next Linden Singers concert on Sunday November 20 th .
Guest conductor Jane Pierard has compiled a variety of pieces that all follow that universal notion.
And variety there certainly will be. The musical styles range from Renaissance Palestrina, to the
Beatles; from folk songs to musical theatre melodies; from New Zealand composers to modern jazz
arrangers; with Christmas songs included to enrich the season.
This is the first time that the Linden Singers have performed a full programme with a guest
conductor and they have thoroughly enjoyed Jane’s passion, musicality, and conducting experience.
A children’s choir from Haumoana School led by Lynette Irwin will also contribute to the afternoon
entertainment.
‘Tis the Season of Love’ will be performed at St Matthew’s church in Hastings at 2pm on Sunday 20th November. Cash at the door: $25 adult, $20 concession.
