Te Mata Park Winter Planting Day

The team at Te Mata Park are looking for volunteers to join their Winter Planting Day on Arbor Day, Sunday 5 June. Enjoy a morning on our beautiful maunga and join in the planting of 2,000 native trees, followed by some shared kai.
Where: Te Mata Park (the new block, near the ponds area), access via Tauroa Car Park
When: Sunday 5 June 9am-12pm, followed by a sausage sizzle
What to bring: gardening gloves, sturdy footwear, spade (pointed planting spades are best), water bottle
Suitable for families (younger children should be closely supervised) and no experience necessary.
