Pecha Kucha #35 – Tuesday, June 8th, Toitoi Hawke’s Bay Arts & Events Centre

There’s been a PK Night hiatus, but it’s back for the first of two 2021 events. The format, for those so far uninitiated, is 20 slides x 20 seconds each. So each speaker presents for 6 minutes and 40 seconds. Topics are as varied as the presenters. The line-up for PK#35 is set to cover underwater life to mental health to local art legends and all sorts in between.

V8 + HB Compilation Vinyl Record Launch – Friday, June 11th, The Cabana

Join HB musicians for the first live session and launch of the much-awaited Hawke’s Bay Compilation vinyl record “Under the Sun” at the original home of live music in Napier, the Cabana.

There’s a live stream available if you can’t get there in person. But if you do, $10 on the door will deliver this line-up:

MTG Movie Club – Sunday, June 13th, MTG Century Theatre

The June edition of MTG’s Movie club (Sunday afternoon goodies) presents the following three feature films:

Searching For Sugarman at 1pm.

The Music of Strangers at 3pm.

Rumble: The Indians Who Rocked the World at 5pm.
