Santa’s Summer Grotto Napier

Santa will open the doors to his Summer Grotto in Ocean Boulevard Mall, Napier, from Saturday, December 16, to Monday, December 18, 2023, between 10am and 2pm daily.

Families are invited to come along and get in the holiday spirit with the big guy himself. Grab your camera or phone and capture the magic with Santa! His elves will be ready to take a photo for you, and this year, it’s all on your own device. 

Santa’s Grotto is all about spreading love, and as with every year, we’re giving back. While the event is free, toss a gold coin koha (donation) into the pot. Every bit goes straight to The SPCA Napier, helping our furry friends have a Merry Christmas too! 

You can also go into the draw to win a $250 gift voucher thanks to Cool Toys, winners of The Hits 2023 Napier CBD Star Awards People’s Choice Award.

Pip Thompson, General Manager of Napier City Business Inc, says the goal is to bring the festive spirit to Napier CBD, and she’s thrilled about the generous support received.

“Ocean Boulevard has graciously provided the Mall for our Christmas activities, and we’re thankful for the backing from Brayden Coldicutt of Harcourts Hawke’s Bay and the Napier City Council. Additionally, the grotto windows will be decked out with incredible chalk art by Kelsey Hill, a talented local artist.”
