A comedy presented by Theatre Hawkes Bay

March 18-27

My Husband’s Nuts, presented by Theatre Hawke’s Bay, is their first production for 2021. This very “kiwi as” comedy written by Devon Williamson and directed by Stephanie Drew will take you to the back blocks of rural New Zealand and into the lives of a farming community in a pickle. Without the help of the medical profession or any common sense at all it seems, this crazy ensemble attempts to unscramble farmer Jack’s lost mind … what could possibly go wrong?

This is the second time Stephanie has directed My Husband’s Nuts and she is finding it just as entertaining and challenging as the first time. “I first read this play over ten years ago and directed it in Wellington. Besides the obvious comedy, there are also some fascinating layers of complexity beneath the surface of the play that explore how people really see themselves and factors that have influenced their lives,” says Stephanie.

Opening 18th March to Saturday 27th.
