Hawke’s Bay’s favourite musical troubadour Stretch has today announced his next tour. July will see the singer/songwriter head south, beginning in Dannevirke and ending up in Raumati.
The lower North Island circuit, dubbed the ‘Last Call For the Road Tour’ follows on from the stunning launch of the new album Our Dreams Are Changing. This premiered at the Hawke’s Bay Arts Festival last year alongside performances by Troy Kingi, Tami Neilson and Bic Runga.
Earlier this year, Stretch performed a series of shows around Hawke’s Bay, from the intimate Paper Mulberry in Pukehou to Wairoa, Clifton, and Napier.
Stretch has a beautiful way of connecting with his audiences through his insightful, original songwriting, his energetic acoustic performance of the folk-meets-soul songs, and his honest but charming banter in between. If you’re heading south down the line, you’ll be well rewarded if you time your trip with one of these gigs:
Thursday, July 22 Fountain Theatre, Dannevirke
Friday, July 23 Tsunami Sound Studios, Levin
Saturday, July 24 Offering Café, Greytown
Thursday, July 29 Square Edge, Palmerston North
Friday, July 30 Space Studio & Gallery, Whanganui
Saturday, July 31 Raumati Social Club, Raumati
